NPAC TWG - Underground Facilities R&D Focus Group

Major Focus

Members of the UGF Focus Group conduct and/or support R&D on any technology that relates to underground facility detection, characterization or defeat.

Underground Facilities R&D Focus Group Conferences  

Those that:

  • Find, characterize, assess UGFs
  • Provide persitant surveillance  
  • Sensing phenomenology (sniffing)
  • Determine function of UGFs
  • Sensors: standoff, remote, airborne, satelite, ground based
  • Defeat, breach, UGFs
  • Provide BDA
  • Smaller, lighter, stealthier
