NPAC TWG - Ballistic Missiles Sensors Focus Group

Major Focus

The Ballistic Missile Sensors Focus Group addresses sensor research and development efforts that contribute to the effectiveness with which treaty (e.g., START) and missile control regimes (e.g., Missile Technology Control Regime) provisions can be verified. The main work of the group is to cover the research and development of new or modified sensor programs that contribute to monitoring and verification.

  • Air, land and sea-mobile monitoring and data colection sensors
  • Nuclear, chemical and biological materials sensors
  • Collection, processing and analysis of radiation of radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic signals
  • Acoustic, seismic, and IR signature analysis
